so ya, i got these honduran red points at the tca auction from arnold... i must say that they are 2 of the most interesting and moody fish in my tank, not to mention incredibly pretty. i can't believe that they've settled in so well! check out these pics!

doubtful on this batch... both the male and the female hrps are keeping close guard on the brood... jack is on the other side of the tank.

well after the babies grow out a little it just gives the jacks better odds. :hehe:

couple types of calvus, pair of giraffe cichlids, ebjd, a trio of dolphin mandas, a quartet of yellow peacocks, three red zebras, two yellow labs, two blue acei, two blue haps, five yoyo loaches, two bn plecos and maybe something else...

i don't have another tank... let alone the drive to raise the babies... i'll let nature take it's course... so far there are 9 white ones and probably between 50 and 100 eggs still stuck to the back 'alive'

no suprise...but still sorry to hear.
put something removable and hope they drop eggs on that...
this will make it easy to remove.

seriously thinking about it... never change the water in this 10 gallon, only the filter cartridge when it backs up and i top the water off when it gets too low for the filter to pick any up. this tank has been up and running for a few years now like this.

I have the same fish! and I cant get them to breed dammit! lol
I have Red zebra's, yellow labs, and about 6 Red Pointers
and some other unknown baby cichlids.
Did you have a pair or what?
