My Green Spot kicked the bucket last night.

He had one problem after another, he started with a fungus (I think) problem, he spent 2 months in the hospital getting over whatever issue he had and I thought he was doing better and started acclimating him to he brackish about 2 weeks ago and he was looking great for a couple of days and then just did not really eat. He would eat every other day or so. Last night when we got home, he was dead, poor little guy.

He was a cute little guy.

BUM DEAL!!!

That's the tough part about puffers- because they're so personable, they REALLY are like family members. When they pass it's extra sad.

So sorry to hear that.

Christine really liked the Green Spot, it is sucks when any of the fish die but the puffers are a lot of fun and after so much time with him trying to get him health again.

Yeah, that's terrible.

You gonna get another one or go a different route?

Thanks everyone, good news is I can now go the route I originally wanted and have 2 Figure 8s (Poncho and Lefty). Both look good, my older one has a perfect 8 on his back and the new one has a good looking 8 I will be curious what it will look like when he fills out.

I got a second Figure 8 from Odyssey Pets, he seems to be a tad friendlier then the other Fig 8. He really comes to the front of the tank when you come over and will follow your finger around the tank(probably thinking “I wonder if that taste good…”) and is not nearly as skittish as the other. Now we have to fatten him up. Feeding time is fun they have not decided who is the dominate one yet, so they just will tussle for a second or two when food is introduced to the tank. I am still worried someone is going to get nipped but so far no problems.

I am happy I got the setup in the tank I wanted bumble bee goby and fig 8s but I am sad for the poor GSP. I was hoping he would make it.

I spent probably 2 hours the other night trying to get a good picture of either of my puffers… my cool camera is too smart for me. Actually I just could not get the “action” shot to work. I will try again this week. I did get a couple pictures of the goby though. I need to prep them though.

Yes, so sorry to hear that. I had a figure 8 named Barry for a very long time, and I was super sad when he passed too.
