my new 75 gallon and my old 30 gallon

this is my new 75 gallon... bought the stand from petsmart today at 2pm and put it together by 3pm. bought the tank at 5pm, got home and had it filled and running by 7pm. bought the rock from glen bacon (great guy) at 9pm, got home at 10pm, and had the rock in the tank by 10:30pm. going to the lfs tomorrow!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Glen has some nice quality rock for a really decent price. Cheaper than anywere I have seen around. How many pounds you have in there roughly?

The 30 is looking very good. I really like the scape on this one. Seems to have grown in very nicely!

heheh... thanks... yah if you're ever online and see me signed into the chat, i'm not sober! brandy is a good sport and she gets me way better (especially after she's downed several wine coolers herself).

thanks for the kind words on the tank. if you ever decide you want to build one like it, i'd be more than happy to offer my assistance (as would anyone else on the board). i think you should be able to find everything from the tank to the stand to all the rocks right on this site.

Ours is too busy--plus its a saltwater background with FW fish--(duh))
But our daughter picked it. We were wanting a solid blue like yours--but the store only had busy looking stuff. I wanted to use like a wrapping type paper---but figured I would jack it up...

it had already been up and running for a couple of years at the guy's house that i bought it from. i just added new water and waited for the sediment to settle out. i also added some ammonia filter material to the HOBs. the fish are all happy as clams and are colored up like whoa.
