I have been looking around a few stores in the frisco/plano area in search of live rock. So far only places I have found are: Aquatic Design, Dallas North Aquarium, there's one more but cant remember the name.
Lowest I have found was 5.99 a pound. Does anyone know of any other stores in the frisco/plano area that sell live rock could you please let me know. Or if you have some to sell PM me with the type (fiji,Tonga, etc.) and price please.

this is more of a FW site, so you may not have a lot of luck with SW request...
but there are a few folks here that do keep the salties...
Also, you may check out DFWMAS.com. That is a local SW specific site.
Good luck.
Also, have you though about using texas holey rock as the base ans then adding your live on top of that...
that would save you quite a bit of $$$$.

All live rock started as "dead" rock. You can use the holley rock as a base rock, once seeded with some live rock, they all will become live rock over time. You just want rock that are porous for the "live" crustaceans to live on and be your bio filtration source.

in that case maybe lace rock is a better choice...

Holley rock is better IMO as it have a buffering capabilities, maybe not much but in a reef setup every little bit help..

I see LR on DFWMAS all the time for $2-3 per lb. You just have to get it quick as it gets claimed pretty fast.
