Does anyone have any of these or know anything about these pygmy catfish? I'm doing my research planning out my future 75g African tank, and I ran across these guys..seem really cool!

I have 7 of them in my Tang tank.
They are fun to watch run around in a group.

oooh how much do you want for them? They're good with their other tank mates though, right? No worries about egg stealing over here ;)

well I just came over a little problem...
Trying to figure out what these fish are worth... I found out the there is another "dwarf" syn cat out there...
the syn. lucipinnis... which are VERY similar to the petricola except the spots aren't in a row on a lucipinnis as it is on the petricola. I have also found sound people that are challenging this.
I'm still trying to find out the facts...

ok, so I think there is a difference between the lucipinnis and petricola...
the lucipinnis is going to be a little smaller than the petricola.
the lucipinnis is(or was) considered a dwarf petricola.

i've had mine for around a year and have never noticed breeding activity.
But I got them when they were very small. There all around 2.5" or so now.

Marvin England of Texarcana is a guy I know from the Texas Cichlid Association. He is breeding these. Give him a call if you are interested. Tell him I sent you and don't believe a word he says about me. :D

If you want some petricolas, go to texascichlid.org. On the cichlid trader part of the site a friend of mine sells them. He has over 500 of the little boogers right now he's selling for around 7$ at 2 inches. He keeps his tanks in good shape, changes water every other week & all.
