I work in a seafood processing plant and I have access to hundreds of pounds of fish trimmings every day. I was wondering if salmon or other fish would make good fish food? I feed my oscars bits of salmon but not on a regular schedule.

justr emember how high the mercury content is in Salmon and other coldwater, deep sea fish.
I have tried cutting slivers of chicken breast and feeding mine, they relished it, but this is only occasionally.

I just always heard wild caught salmon is high in mercury, and even farm raised is loaded with antibiotics. I would feed tilipia before salmon. I guess same can be said about chicken though, loaded with antibiotics and hormones. Man! I'll be glad when my chickens start producing, no more store bought heavy antibiotic/hormone packed chicken.
