it can be very difficult to take a fish from the wild and put it in a tank...
FYI the catfish will eat your guppys.

Hmmm, I'm not exactly sure I understand what you're saying.
Did you find a local catfish and you're trying to keep it in your aquarium?

they're not together.
And they were in a drying up creek with just a puddle.
I got all the chlorine out with drops but they are still dying.
Theres like, 10 left.

There are a lot of things it could be, parasites and various diseases are just a start.
Mainly it is just tough to get WC fish to adjust to captivity.

Has the tank been cycled?

Welcome to the box. You could always transport them in a cooler to another pond/river

Welcome, and sorry you are having troubles! The best thing you can do is go put them in a tank(pond), like SS said. I have raised a few local WC(wild-caught) when I was growing up, but they died, sooner or later. Catfish usually require running water to spawn, so they will find the nearest stream to go up and have their babies. That is a bad thing around here, because most of the creeks are just run-off creeks.
Mainly it is just tough to get WC fish to adjust to captivity.
but they are catfish, they should be able to survive easily, with good water and aeration and the right size tank

Welcome and sorry to hear you are having problems with your catfish. as a kid I had some native wild caught fish that did okay ( though I should have had a big enough tank for them :o). Anyways, they did okay for the most part, but it is hard to adapt wild caught fish in general. As for yours, there is no telling what could be going on. you may test your water for starters. Are they eating at all? As stated above it could be parasites, ect. or something they had before you put them in the tank. keep us updated.:)
