Hey all, first off glad you could make it here.

This is and always will be a free site.

We wouldn't like to set it up to where if ya'll decided you want to make donations to help us build the best site for you in mind, that is going to take extra money.

We are working on a chat, but would like to know what other things you would like to see in the future to make this the perfect site.

Any donation is great, but we wanna use that for the site. We will be bringing in vendors/retailers as we find them.

One thing that we could do for a donation of $20 would be custom user titles. Currently they are setup as a ladder of fish names. We could allow you to make your own, it would be unlocked so you could change it with your mood. Also the PM box size will be raised to store more PM's.

Anyway just kicking around thoughts here, as this site is about you and your feedback.

Were trying to keep it a little bit uncluttered with all of the colors. We just made it an option for the females if they decided they wanted pink.

Skipp, I dont want to get personal, but what would be a good amount. I guess if we knew some of the operating costs, we could judge for ourselves how much we can donate. You know...how much do we need to raise for certain ammenities or how much would a chat module cost, things like that. I am all for giving to the cause...tarting the old home stead up and all.

At this point our current server is paid up until March '08 but we are looking into a better non-shared host. Unsure of the cost at this point.

The chat is paid for and unless it becomes an issue we shouldn't need to upgrade. Any problems with the current chat goes back to the server.

We are looking at T-shirts, poker nite, and other things to get a little more built up.

There is one other upgrade that I'd like to have but until the server upgrade, I really don't want to persue that until then.

Honestly any amount is fine, we really haven't nailed down the monthly cost because we got a deal on a used server..:hehe:

Once we nail down a monthly cost we can put up a goal if ya'll want. I'd rather not publish who gave what as I personally don't see a need for it.

I was looking at t-shirts on Cafepress,and they had some really cool t-shirts,etc. by some cichlid forums. Don't know the quality of the shirts, but I would be game to buy some shirts,etc. to help the cause. Heck, I would be willing to help the cause anyway, as long as I knew what it was going for.

T-shirts are kinda being held up at the moment as are the cards for getting new members. We are trying to get the logo nailed down and then we can proceed. Bare with me, been kinda busy lately.

I changed the user titles permissions for site supporters that say "site supporter" to a user set option. So now when you want it to say something else you have the ability to change it on your own whenever you want. Just go to usercp, then edit profile, it will override the site supporter title. The only drawback to this is in doing this I loose the ability to make them bold, sorry. But the names still tell you that you are site supporters and we appreciate that!!

Hey guys, I spend most of any "extra" $$ on fish stuff ... but I am happy & willing to render any services needed! ... OK, well, ALMOST any ... I have more years of experience in printing/graphics/design, etc. than alot of folks here have been alive! I also have alot of resources available - such as a company that can make car/window/tank stickers and such, and I have access to a complete printshop here at work. So if y'all need help with anything, please let me know!
