Apisto inka aggression

One of my females is begining to become ultra aggresive. looks like she might have killed one of my other females and is harrasing my other female. They are in a 28 bowfront, and plenty of nooks and crannies to hide in. Anyone have this happen? i'll probably add more plants here soon to break up territories even further. But pleas emore experienced Apisto keepers help out this new world fish lover!!

I see some chasing but never to the point where it looks like someone is in danger.

More plants, what are you using for the caves?

alot of the wood in there has good sized holes they hide in, i'll probbaly buy more of the slate caves I have this weekend put them in there. Need anymore caves???:D They both like to hang out on the right side of the tank, where its a litle more bare....no idea why

Give them actual caves, i have had a lot more success with actual caves rather then hiding places.

Little pots, coconuts, slate caves (although I would look for smaller ones) or something that they can claim as theirs.

I would like some that are a little smaller.

I've seen the cocunut huts at 2 different petsmarts. I started to buy a couple for my kribs. They usually have them in the Reptile section.

Petsmart when they have them(1.99), Pet o Rama(3.99), Pet Boutique (around $3).

I like them for the Apistos they seem to work really well.

Hi Sorry i haven't ben on lately. Some Apisto get very aggressive with other apistos to the point of killing the less dommanant ones Have you tryied to find any mates yet apisto dave has them for sure on aqabid a male will help to calm her down unfortunately species of the nijssinii complex are monagamos (:Dspelling sucks i know )so when you do get a mate she may still kill the others.
