Hi, I just have a 20 gallon presently overcrowded with platys, fry, mollies, plescotamuses, vacuum cleaning catfish, neons, and snails... I have some anacharis, moss balls, and other plants I don't recall the name of.
I have just aquired a 60 gallon tank and I'm presently building a stand for it... I'm thinking of getting a pufferfish for this tank...
I have a 10 gallon setup to spawn duckweed. The batch I put in the aquarium slowly diminishes as the filter sucks it up and other things...
glad to be here

Welcome Mikey! Sounds like you have a good start on MTS(multi-tank syndrome), something most of us here are infected with! I would love to know more about you and see some photos. Check out photobucket.com and do a direct link here(just click on the little postcard at the top of your quick reply box) to post your photos!

Welcome to the site.
I'm pretty sure there's lots of duckweed floating around here (pun intended) so post a Wanna Buy thread or Freebie thread and I'm sure someone in your area will speak up :D.
Congrats on the 20 and 60 gallon. What style stand are you shootin' for?

Hello Thanks for the warm welcome... Here are a few pics... I'm going to have a few free Golddust mollies and possibly sunset platies pretty soon, incase any of you log on but don't have fish. The stand is basically a design I found from googling that I'm pretty sure some of you have seen it's not finished yet though.

Definitely some good lookin' tanks you have there. And a great start on the 60 gallon's stand :hehe:
What are the plans for the 60 other than the puffer?

That is a nice community tank! What is that fuzzy ball in there?

It looks like Java Moss.

It could be a Marimo "moss ball". Chladophora Aegagropila is actually an alga & not moss, but everyone calls it a moss ball. That is what the one in the front of the tank is, but I'm not sure what the one at the back of the tank is, it looks a little coarse & brown to be marimo.A couple of years ago these were fetching $20+ for a large ball but now they run around $5 a pop.

It's a moss ball but I'm not sure what kind it is... they just told me it's called a mossball, it was the first time I had seen them before... then I saw another kind at Petco. You can get the fuzzy kind I have pictured at Odyssey Pets in Dallas... I haven't seen them sold anywhere else. They don't float like the one's from Petco.
Thanks for the compliments, I still don't know forsure what I'm going to do with the 60 gallon.
There's two gold dust mollies in the pics that I want to give away. Male and female. Let me know if any of you guys want them...
