DFWFishbox POTM Contest Requirements and Guidelines


Picture Requirements
 Participant may only submit one entry which is of his/her own work for each contest period.
 Picture is to be of a freshwater or saltwater subject/environment. Specimens illegal in Texas will not be entered in the contest.
 Pictures are to be submitted by email to potm@dfwfishbox.com (potm@dfwfishbox.com)with the participant's username followed by “POTM” as the subject.
 Picture must be of your own work and not have any copyright mark or watermark which identifies the picture to a specific source. Anybody submitting a picture that is not of their own work, copyright or not, will be banned from the POTM contest.
 Pictures must remain anonymous during the voting period. Photographer’s name will be revealed when the winners are announced.
 No collages. No videos. No offensive material.

Member Requirements
 Only valid accounts with 10 posts will be eligible for this contest.
 Member must be of good standing with DFWFishbox to participate.

Contest Guidelines
 Entries must be submitted prior to the deadline, which is the last day of each month at 6:00 PM CST unless extended. Extension notices will posted in the POTM forum.
 Late entries will be entered in the following month’s contest.
 One entry per person per month.
 The first 10 entries received will be entered.
 Contest begins on the first of each month unless otherwise stated.
 Voting ends on the 15th of the month.
 PLEASE KEEP THE VOTING ANONYMOUS! DO NOT REVEAL WHICH PICTURE(S) YOU VOTE FOR.
This keeps the contest impartial and fair to all.
The picture with the highest number of votes will be the first place winner. If more than one winner is selected (same number of votes), a secondary three day voting period will be held to determine the overall winner.
 After judging is completed, the top three pictures will be announced and the remaining pictures will be removed.
 The first place winner will not be eligible to enter again for the following month’s contest to ensure fairness and opportunity for other participants to win.
 Only entries submitted by email to potm@dfwfishbox.com (potm@dfwfishbox.com) will be accepted.
 The first place picture will be highlighted on the site's home page as well as the POTM forum.
 Guidelines are subject to change.
 Submission Copyright- By submitting photos to DFWFishbox and the e-mail address provided, you agree to allow DFWFishbox to publish your photos within reasonable limits in DFWFishbox Publications and websites. You agree that the DFWFishbox may use the image without limits unless we are contacted directly via written correspondence notifying DFWFishbox that you no longer wish to allow it rights to your photo. By submitting your photo to DFWFishbox you assume all responsibility for copyright infingement. It is your responsibility to verify the photo you are submitting is your own photo and any content within the photo is free of copyright or liability. DFWFishbox shall not be held liable for any infingement of copyright within user submitted photos. If you are the legal copyright owner of a posted photo and you wish to have the photo removed, please contact DFWFishbox in written form to potm@dfwfishbox.com.
