Through a simple Google search for some barbed reducing fittings for my tank, I came across this website:
http://www.eldonjames.com/index.html
They seem to have everything and will even make custom stuff if you need.
They also have a "free sample" page where I ordered some barb reducers and they came in today. Very high quality stuff plus their catalog is top notch.
Thought I'd pass it along for all you DIYers.

Can we borrow your UPS or Fedex account number so we can get samples???
Does look like a lot of ideas would come to light using their stuff. Thanks for the info!

I didn't need one. I placed the order last Friday using my company title (and company's address, phone number, etc.) and wasn't asked for anything.
I received 6 samples total (all the same thing just different materials) and a catalog and was more than impressed with the quality of their stuff (catalog & website included).
I'm about to place an order with them again (an actual order this time), so I'll let you know how that goes.

Well it seems the minimum order is $50 for fittings and $100 for tubing, so I guess I'll hold off on that order unless others want to go in on a group buy... :hehe:

Great link!
What are you looking for specifically? I have a bunch of barbed 1/4" & 1/2" T fittings & some others as well. if y'all need some. I got them from the hospital off of some air mattresses that malfunctioned. Mostly T fittings though. I planned on using them to set up an air driven filter system for multiple tanks if/when ever we end up in a place with a garage where I could set it all up.

Originally I needed come reducing fittings for my ETH external heater that came in as the wrong size - 1/2" instead of 5/8". Free reducing fittings fix the problem :hehe:.
Now I need some reducing Tees (well maybe I could get by with something else).
I need (2) 5/8" x 5/8" x 1/8" (Eldon James only lists 5/8" x 5/8" x 5/16" on the website, which should work).
Amon, you have anything in a 5/8" Tee?

Is someone willing to place a "sample" order for me from that website?
I need (2) of part number - RT10-5 BN. I would greatly appreciate it.

I'll try to do it. Got a pic of the part or a direct link to the pg it's on, so I know what it is. I might be able to find fittings for some of the hospital equipment on there as well.
BTW I'll measure the T's I have. I do have some reducing T's but the reduction barb is pretty small. What size do you need it to reduce to?
PM me your Addy & I'll throw a few of each in the mail

How soon did you get your fittings? I ordered several catologs along with it. If it isn't the rght stuff, I can reorder using the hospitals address. I think I can use the parts for the air mattresses we have there. so it was a lucky find in more than one way.

It's towards the bottom, 5/8" x 5/8" x 5/16" is the smallest they have in a 5/8", but I'd like to get 5/8" with a 1/8" - 1/4" if I can.

Here's what I have. These are rough measurements. I don't have a micrometer, just using a cheap tape measure.

Those look like they'd work...
Is the one on top 1/2" not 5/8"?
ElijahTurtle

Yeah they are both the same except for the reduction ends

gottcha... I tried 1/2" fittings already and they didn't work (leaked even with a hose clamp on them).

Side note:
I've been talking to the CEO of the company listed in the first thread and will try to work out a deal were we can get stuff directly from them and hopfully without the 50ea. minimum.
I'll update as soon as I hear back.

UPDATE...
I've talked to the company a little more and the minimums are for credit customers. If you're paying in advance (kinna like ordering anything else on the web) you can order anything you want.
There is a little something as far as the tubing goes... it only comes in 100' rolls. They don't make or sell it any other way. For the airline type tubing it's not too bad (as I'm pretty sure I could use 100' without any problems), but for larger sizes it might not be so practical; however, they do have poly re-enforced tubing which would work for a python or two :D.
One thing that really cause my eye was the fact that they offer their tubing in multiple colors. Kinna neat.
For the prices simply download their online catalog for the section you're interested in (I.E. Tubing) and the prices are on the catalog pages. And you can order single fittings if needed.

100' of tubing is a lot.... even for airline tubing.

Yeah... I've used at a least two bundles of 25' here and there. Not to mention you can get it in 1 of 8 colors :D.
100' might be a lifetime supply, but if it's in a cool color (say Pink for Brandy), you might be able to split it with someone :hehe:

Thanks a mill buddy.
Hit me up at the G2G for some postage (or even bring them then to save on postage).
