Laugh if you must...:o

Is it an issue with fish? With that community, it's impossible to keep up with who's getting who. I have a brother already pesteing his sisters...

Yeah, with livebearers it is...

You need to keep changing them out to keep it from happening to my understanding.

Misty, I dont think its such the worry that we place on it. If you were going to line breed a species, then you might want to consider seperating the sexes as soon as you could, and introducing a different blood line. Most of the time when we buy fish from the LFS, we get siblings and grow them out to breed. This is not a major concern unless like I said your breeding in mass quanities or trying to line breed for a certain trait. If your pair produces a lot of culls, obvious deformities, then you might want to replace one of the sexes with a fish from a different blood line. I had a trio of Alunocara jacobfrebergi "Eureka" where one of the females was a sister to the male, the other was from a different source. The sister fish's first spawn was almost all culls. Most of them had swim bladder problems, and some had obviously deformed fins. I traded her to a friend and just bred the two remaining fish, I never had any problems after that. On the other hand, most of my breeding colonies are siblings. And I have not had a repeat of that scenario again. I hope that helps, dont worry about the whole inbreeding thing...fish love the "Dueling Banjo" soundtrack from "Deliverance".

Them sure are some fine lookin' men! http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v207/EmBeeTM/Smilies/kolobok/viannen_56.gif

That's it! I have very few males of anything left so I guess they might go in a 10g. Except for the Gourami trio and BN pair...they're staying together.

That's what I thought! Most of these will be staying with me unless I can verify that the parents were a suitable pair. Thank you!
