I am thinking about adding a new type of cichlid to one of my tanks but there are so many that I think are beautiful. I thought y'all could help me narrow it down by giving me your idea of a 'dream' cichlid, already owned or want to own, and why. What would you buy if you could/would? I thought this would also help newbies who are trying to decide what to buy. Please help me out and try to post photos of your dream fish, along with any info.
Thanks!
Sharon

To me this is like asking which set of firm 18 year old boobs are best.

There are so many great cichlids available, that is the reason I need about 12 more tanks... so I could have them all.

I've never had trophs but they are becoming more intriguing to me. I've never kept them before.

I'm in the cyprochromis stage right now, but they are a little to skittish for my taste.

I've kept most MBUNA and many peacocks. Fronts were also to slow for me.

I've even pondered a SW tank, but just can't make myself do it yet. But I'm sure a SW will be in my fu ture.

Taiwan Reefs are gorgeous and easy to keep.

I just don't think that you can go wrong with any of the Peacocks. Thiers personalities along all the different colors and how easey they are to keep.

I know what you mean, Jerod(except not with boobs!)! There are so many different kinds and colors, that it is difficult for me to chose. I like the one little troph I have, and I love the OB I have too. I was looking at some reefs today,Haiven, and they sure are pretty. Gee, decisions,decisions...
