So, Saturday morning I got up and did my usual thing. Fed the fish, made coffee and then went outside on my patio to have a smoke and coffee. When I came back inside I glanced over at the 20 gallon sitting next to my table. In that tank I have a menagerie of community fish, some plastic plants, and a Balinese temple . It's one of those that has a large hole at the bottom and a smaller hole at the top of it. My otto cat and barbs love playing around it. So I'm looking at the tank and I noticed a head sticking out of it . At first I thought it was the oto but after closer inspection I find that it's one of my dwarf gourami. He was stuck in the small hole and I do mean stuck!!! It took me about five minutes to get him out of it. I had to reach though the bottom and wiggle him out. He was pretty scraped up so I took him out and put him in the sick tank. I was in the kitchen when I noticed that I had left the door and blinds open. Here I go, walking past the tank again and notice out of the corner of my eye a head sticking out of the temple...again! It was the other Gourami!!! :wha: He had wedged himself in there and it took twice as long to get him out. Both of them are always getting into trouble. It seems like I am having to save there little fins at least once a week. They are both scraped up and in the sick tank. I have taken the temple out of the 20 and put it in the 10 gallon with the fry. I don't think they will be getting stuck in there.

Poor gouramis they both look so bad right now but I think they will survive!

I usually find fish like going up but rarely think about going down. They just seem to have that one track mind

wow what are the chances of that?? I had a super fat cory get stuck in a hole similar to that. Sound like an interesting morning indeed. Glad they are okay though!

haha, that's funny. Apparently that's what they should be called pulling stunts like that

Last week one of them got stuck between the glass and the heater. He could have gotten out if he had only backed up. I had to change the suction cups on the darn thing so that they can't get behind it. A few weeks ago one of them wedged himself under a peice of drift wood that I had in the tank trying to get at a peice of food. I had to take the wood out.

Both of them are doing fine. Still a little beaten up. I've had to change the whole tank because of those two.
