Took out all of the river rock and replaced with a blend of Leslies PFS and tahitian moon sand. Video is cell phone quality, but you get the idea. Big change From what it was. I liked the look of the river rock much more, but this is going to be considerably easier to maintain and keep water params in check.

I think I liked the river rock better, but still a nice tank.

I liked it better too. But with the fish getting bigger and putting out more poo, it was becoming a nightmare to try and keep clean. It was almost impossible to vac that stuff properly.

Maybe a UGJ system would keep things in the water column and help the filter take it away?

I feel like its missing something now. Maybe more plants, I dont know. Ill figure it out. Or maybe its a couple of those flat fish, that require really good water parameters, and like sand.

I like it a lot too,but it could be that with the light colored sand it looks a lot more like my tank. I have large holey rock instead of the wood though. It won't be long before I'll start having trouble keeping the poo out of mine. Lots(by numbers)of fish in mine. Your looking good.

Looks good, I like the river rock look but it scares the crap out of me for the type of food you feed.

The sand is a good idea.

Thanks everyone!

Yeah the RR wasnt so bad when I was feeding live. Now that its mostly Massivore and other pellets, the sand was a needed change. Once those pellets hit the bottom, they would slip through the cracks and fish couldnt reach them. Fouled the tank really quick.
