Hello From Alvarado/Los Angeles

Yeah, I have a couple of residences, but Texas is my primary and where I'm setting up my tank. No pics yet as all I've got is an empty 10g with a couple of filters, heater, and stand. I came here because I was trying to get advice or materials locally and not spend outrageous money, though I have no problem paying for things of quality. Anyway, if anyone can make any suggestions as for retailers in the area (primarily Fort Worth and Central -South Dallas) where I could get materials OR if anyone here has anything for a 10g they're trying to get rid of or would simply like to sell, lemme know.

Things I need.

Hinged top (cheap online, would prefer to buy locally)
Lighting system for planted tank (again, I can purchase online, but if anyone has the setup or knows where I could purchase locally, that's better)
Plant Substrate
Sand (I'd like to do 2 in. of plant substrate and a 1 in. layer of dark sand on top)
Plants (these aren't as hard to find, but if anyone's getting rid of them, I can take them)

No, I go when the wind takes me. I usually stay about 9 months - 1 year at a time, depending on work. I'm from here (Fort Worth) originally, but I've lived in Denton, Dallas, Austin, and Abilene... and the cesspool that is Los Angeles.
