Beef Heart troubles

I was wondering if there is something im missing about the frozen beef heart cubes.I got some from petco and put a cube in the tank frozen and no interest from my angels.I also let it thaw out in a cup of tank water and put it in the tank and nothing the second time either. Any suggestions?

Its like serving you just Veggy's, so you have to get them to like it. Usually just soak it in Garlic and they will eat it with no problems. They sell stuff like Garlic RX and other such Garlic extracts to get them used to eating it. After they eat it don't soak anymore and what not.

none of mine have never taken much interest in beefheart either :/ it can make your water nasty real quick too if it doesnt get filtered/netted out. mine only ate it if they were really hungry that day :mad: never tried the garlic thing though, i always hear they go nuts for garlic stuff.

I got the beefheart flakes from Kens fish and my fish loves that stuff.

I had these problem before. Get a little piece roll it between your finger, do a shape like worms and give to them. With me worked but who knows.

Mine will eat it now, but it took a long time for them to develop and appetite for beefheart.

When I used to put frozen beefheart in the tank for them, they ignored it. Now I hold it between my fingers for them to eat as it thaws. They're so greedy that they fight to reach it.
