i purchased 5 brevies 2 weeks ago, they pair up right away, for some reason one male has two partner even thought both females fight a lot, but they live close together, nway my question is this, about a week ago, i stop seing one of my female, just wandering if she is breeding or there something wrong w/ her, the male is very aggressive biting my hands everytime i get close to any of the shells, anyway its been more than a week and still i havent seen her, jst wanderign what happen to her, any idea????

could be that she is hunkered down in one of the shells...
That is my first thought since the male is so overly protective.
Or the other female had her for lunch....
My gold occie is the smallest (by far( fish in my tank and he is the only gold occie that I have...
He bites me everytime I put my hand in the tank.
Crazy to see such a small fish that aggressive.

yes, sometimes I don't see my female because she is inside a shell. Often males will guard the entrance of the shell, preventing her from getting out in order to protect her. When my female has eggs/fry in the shell she is hidden most of the time. How big is the tank that they are in?

i dont think she got hunkered.
im just hoping that she is really laying egg.
quik question is it posible for a male to have more than one pair??

from what I understand they are monogamous and are true to one lady :) I have never heard of a male having more than one female but not to say it isn't possible.
