Have any of you guys ever tried this?My stocking plans are for my 40 long that is already planted with fast growing bunch type plants and vallisneria.I plan to add tropheops sp. red cheek to this tank.Do you guys think it will work or will I be hanging the sign that says salad bar now open?

I am attempting it now, not fast growing though. I have anubias, some java fern(which isn't doing to great) some potted hair grass. Anubias have looked better, it may be a matter of time before they all go to crap.

I am using Hygrophylia, water wisteria and giant vals. They have been growing quite well for some time now.All that is in with them is angels neons cardinals and platies. These have got to go before the africans get puchased.

There's a couple of nasty tasting anubias plants that do fine with Africans. I can't think of what they are off the top of my head since I'm not really into the whole African scene. Have a friend in waxahachie that has a few of them in his tank & his won't touch them. I'll see if I can ind out what he has in there.
The only suggestion I would make is to plant them in clay pots in the tank & let them move the gravel around them. They are always digging his up, I'd get pretty sick of replanting them LOL
*Insert Digging Smiley* :hehe:

:hehe: well I tied 3 of them to my holey rocks with fishing line. One to keep from digging them up, and one to add some green higher up.
So far they have only COMPLETLEY destroyed one out of those three. The others are in the sand and doing ok.
