I was wondering if I could use something other than filter floss in my proclear 175 wet/dry filter to clear the water in my cichlid tank. It seems like the filter floss gets all brown pretty quick and I have to replace it on weekly basis. There isn't much room to put more foams on the top tray. Is there any other media which will do a similar job and can be rinsed? The Cichlids love to dig so the water always has dust particles floating.
