Ok, went home today at lunch let Hank out and he went over to the 55g stand…. I proceeded to yell at him because he tends to eat any extra filter items and that is getting old, messy and expensive.

Went over to see what he was doing and one of the $%#@ing cats left a dump on my cut to size filter pads…. Was it a cheap one? No, of course not about $25 worth of filter. Now if this would have been a nice normal cat dump just moving it off would have been easy clean up. NOOOOO….that vial, uncouth annoying creature left a soupy puddle. WTF… why there?

Is this is cleanable? I am thinking:

not worth the effort
not sure what cat poo does to an aquarium but it can not be good. I knew there was a reason I do not like cats.

Holly cow, :batman: that sucks.

Hmmm I don't know about his one, but cat pooh is bad. Pregnant women and infants can't be around it (something in the pooh can cause birth defects or premature labor so something like that. ...what did that doctor say again:noidea:)?

Well, there's only been like 10-15 of them so far (DRs that is). Freaking changes 'em like once a month throughout both pregnancies and ended up with a midwife.

I recommend EVERYONE to get a puppy before having a kid!! They can't talk back, you can stick them in a cage if they do something wrong....and put them in the yard when you get tired of that....you can't do that with a smarta$$ 16 yr old!!

Well I tolerate my wifes cats. To bad their young, stupid things live like 15-20 years.
She gets aggitated when I talk about new aquariums or tank accessories, but compared to the stupid cats they are cheap. Every 2 weeks we spend $7-8 for food & about another $10 for decent cat litter that keeps the house from smelling like crap. Somewhere around $40 bucks a month!!!
Yeah I see you doing the mental math. Well some of you...the rest I just see smoke rising from your rusty cogs, but regardless it's nearly $500 a year That's a heck of a chunk of change for 2 worthless animals, that tear up the carpet & can't fetch a friggin thing!
With a little bit of luck & some patience I could have a sweet tank for that amount of money.

We have cages for your kids, and we installed a kiddo-door so they can go out whenever they need. Only bad thing is, other stray kids from the neighborhood follow them home sometimes. So I bought a BB gun.

Heck yeah, $500 per year over a couple years of patient planning would be a sweet setup. Just seems those darn critters would be good for something (as a suicidal mouse lays in the cat bowl and the cat just looks up at me like "what do you expect me to do about it" can you get that outta my bowl, NOW" - with that 'I am better than you' cat attitude), instead of just laying around all day, and Peeing everywhere.

The only good thing about the cats is watching the dog(Hank) who is around a billion times smarter then both cats put together....

Last night one of the cats kept howling at something in the other room, after 2 or 3 minutes I finally got tired of yelling at him walked in and Hank was laying on his back trying to get the cat to rub his chest. He always brings them toys to try and get them to play with him. There is always a good laugh when he decides to bug the cats...

When I went to throw the filter pad away it was not good enough to just leave a load on it freaking cat took a leak on it just for good measure…. Need to borrow Andrews BB gun....

I've got a couple of blowguns! I'm pretty handy with them up to about 30-40 ft away. I could loan you one! I've got a .45 too, but that might get messy :confuzeld:

I could always pull out the 12 gauge, it would be cleaner then the .45

yeah about 2 years ago my wife "made" a decision and brought a cat home...

I wasn't real pleased about this decision so I taught my 65lbs boxer that the cat was a play toy...

now I kinda like the cat as his idiotic tendencies are amusing...

but not as amusing as my boxer standing on it and slamming its head into the floor...

I sure love dogs...

oh an the first thing to do to a new cat...

de claw front only and make them inside only animals...

get them fixed for different reasons for a male and a female, but they both boil down to keeping various stains out of my house.

Max and Mandie were being dog sat by a coworker while we went away for Thanksgiving. [background] I refuse to leave town as a family- one of us MUST stay home for the dogs. So us leaving was a tough decision for me. But this person was the one that got Mandie for us- she has a boxer of her own. She understands boxers...

She (dogsitter) went out drinking, came home and let my dogs out of their kennel- then let her cat out so they could all "play". (We had told her NOT to test our dogs around cats- they were not proven cat safe). BAD IDEA

Mandie tore the cat apart. She took the cat to the emergency vet and dropped a lot of coin on the surgery and what not. The cat didn't make it.

She was so mad at my dogs- she just took them to my house and called me "I can't watch your dogs anymore". We turned around (Atlanta, Ga) and drove home. My dogs hadn't been outside in 24 hrs by the time we got home.

She later asked if I could help pay her vet bill. I felt aweful- but HELL no!!

So now, I won't leave my pups alone- not even for 14 hrs. And I still don't/NEVER liked cats!

Dog sitting is not much fun.... even worse when something like that happens.... My cousin has a cat killer.... Her name is Pita (Pain in the arse).... Extremely nice to everyone and other dogs but cats just set her off....

Paying for the vet bill is weird.... my friend insisted on paying(really he paid for my fantasy football, enabled a habit) for Hank's vet bill after his dog gouged Hank on accident. I was not even thinking that he should pay it, I just chalked it up to dogs rough housing and part of having the dog.... dunno I can see both sides....

Yeah, today's big drama was... a local stray cat has been hanging around the house (yeah I been feeding it, cant stand to see an animal starving even if it is a smelly old cat), so the girls have been playing with it and even named it. Well this morning the cat was at the front door looking for some food. I didn't want to go back into the house (didn't want the girls to know that cat was outside) so I went into the back yard and just grabbed a hand full of dog food. Cat followed me back and then back into the front yard where I put down the food. Cat started eating and I headed off to work. 10 minutes after sitting down at me desk, my wife calls me almost in tears as my mother in law and both daughters watch our dog kill that poor cat.

Really sucks. I should have not let that cat into the back yard to begin with. I feel this is pretty much my fault. I really don't like cats that well, but don't want to see them killed either (at least not that way).
