Hello, i was wondering if anyone knew where to find tan or black blasting sand. I currently have leslies PFS although i'm considering switching to something a little darker.
I figure any thread is useless without pics so below are some of my current setup:

If you call around to some of the rental places you can find blasting sand relatively easily. There was a member on here from ft.worth that worked somewhere that sold the black blasting sand, he posted on a couple threads about black moon sand or tahitian moon sand. Might try a forum search to find him. I have been thinking about changing my tangs over to black sand also to try to darken my calvus up.

I would not sure blasting sand. Most of them have Metal in the sand and that metal (Iron) will eventual Rust. There is a Guy that is looking to do a Group Buy on Black Color Quartz. Its digger friendly (nothing sharp in it, no metal) and its pretty cheap, Cheaper than Black Tahitian Moon Sand. i mix the stuff with pool filter sand and i love it. Here is a pic to give you an idea.

Nice, i'll have to check that store out. I wonder how much i would need for a decent salt and pepper look. I have about 40-45 lbs right now, so my intention would be to first remove some white sand before adding the black. :confuzeld:
