I have a crayfish tank that I really need to set up better than it is now. When I was younger, we used to catch crayfish in shallow creeks in Arkansas. I was thinking of how nice it would be to find a creek like that and collect rocks, branches, etc, so that I could have the crayfish in a natural-looking habitat. That type of stuff is really easy to find in Arkansas, but we never go there anymore, so I was wondering if anyone has any ideas or knows of some nice creeks around the area that we could collect materials from.

arbor hills nature preserve, google it, not far from carrollton. wont be Arkansas rocks, but you'll get wood and other rocks there.

I have a creek that goes through my property. You could collect all the wood you want, but NOT the rocks. :)

A lot of creeks around are mostly limestone. Make sure you test any rocks with vinegar before adding. Unless you're trying to raise you pH, then nm. Lol.
