Bowfront Tanks

I know a few people have them, I have 1 and am not a big fan at all....

What is the draw to the tank?

Reasons I do not like it is that it seems to distort the fish a little and it hard to take good close pics with it.

That was my personal impressions with those tanks as well. At least with the smaller ones (say under 50 gallons).

The "wave front" tanks are even worse.

Seems like a pain to change out anything regarding the stand or canopy (as in building one yourself/upgrade).

I know I've seen some nice looking larger bow fronts, but only in pictures. The ones at the LFS are empty and for sale.

I did see Jim's 92 bow while he was upgrading to the 240, but it was only half full of water at the time.

I have seen some nice bowfronts I just do not like them for the viewing aspect.

R2R used to have a nice setup in store that was a bowfront.... I think DNA has a inwall that is interesting.
