Tropical Fish Hobbyist magazine had a small article about Rainbow Shiners (notropis chrosomus). The color on these little guys is phenomenal. They're apparently native to Alabama.
Has anyone ever been able to get their hands on some?

I agree very colorful lil guys.......just a quick search found a place called Jonah's Aquarium with some for sale don't seem to terribly expensive but no mention of shipping fees. Just a heads up................peace

i am trying to get the fish place over by ridgemar mall to get some in.. talked to the new owner and he seems to rember them being on the list and will let me know later this week if he can and at what price. price will depend on how many i get for my 75g :)

I as well like the blue one in the last posted picture. But am wondering if it is just colored that way because a black light might be on it? Or maybe its a blue variety of these fish.Either way I'm interested in these Alabama fish lol. :)
