does anyone know how long it last before it no good. i got some in the frig and was going to use it no the 29/30 gallon what ever size the tank is . i have a undergravel filter and a hob filter.

Joey why aren't you getting bacteria from your 240 to jump start your little tank?

Read this link (http://www.dfwfishbox.com/showthread.php?t=1459)that stan wrote, then when you are done read it again. (Focus on the first post) It has very good info for setting up an emergency tank, but will be very beneficial to you setting up your 29/30.

There should be an expiration date isn't it ? I have never used a turbo start before, only Bio Spira.

I just setup 2 tanks for the new fish I recvd on saturday. I did exactly what I posted, 2 hours after I set both tanks up, I put all the fish in there. This was done yesterday and everything is fine as of right now.

What you need to remember is SLOWLY increase the bio load, I have not feed the fish since yesterday, I am going to feed them once a week for this week and start increasing to twice a week next week. By 2-3 weeks, I can start feeding these guys twice a day.

if you keep it in the fridge and use it before the expiration date- you should be good to go.
