feeding cichlids bloodworms question

I got my cichlids some frozen bloodworms to those of you using the frozen how do you feed them. I have heard throw it in there let the water defrost other say let them defrost in your hand some. I just wanted to get some opinions on what you do. Thanks in advance

either or, i usually throw the cube in.

Depends on the fish - normally I will take a cup of tank water and defrost it in there then add. For my malawi trout I just toss them in whole. He'll grab ahold of it, wiggle it back and forth like a dog them consume what's left whole!

Thanks Tony @ Jmatthew I will try both ways and see what works best. I was told to substitute this as there meal and do it once or twice a week does that sound about right?
