I guess she could be just a hybrid/mutt, but she's my favorite... yellow/clear body, orange tail with dots, blue fin with dots. Any ideas?

I just want to guess for fun, I think it's a tiger endler mixed with a guppy.

Maybe so Kevin!! (Did I remember right? Your name is Kevin?) LOL I have no idea what she is... I put her in my daughter's 5.5g so I could see what kind of fry she threw, and while I was in DFW last weekend she dropped them and ATE them! grrrr!!!! I think it was her first batch...

Hey those blue shrimp are starting to color up, I'm very pleased! I've got them in an established 29g right now, but I'm starting up a 10g with a black substrate to show them off once I get it cycled. My daughter was mad because she wanted the blues in her tank! :)

Yep you are correct! I am glad you like them! They have great personalities, when I feed my betta in my shrimp tank they swim upside down at the surface trying to steal the betta pellets.

They're just with some guppies (mostly fry) and a BN right now, and they were really hiding that first night... I was worried! Now I see them out and about quite a bit looking for flake bits that have dropped, or climbing on an algae wafer.

I had to get all the reds out of that tank before I put the blue in... my kids kept asking me if I was SURE you couldn't get purple shrimp by crossing the blue and the red!!! LOL

Okay thanks Ernie! I have a couple of females that are showing those leopard spots on their tails... Is it normal for their fins and tails to be predominantly different colors like that?

Not sure if this photo is the right generation guppy, I have a father & son that look just alike, but I think this might be her dad.

I wasn't sure if he is a cobra or a mosaic... I am still learning all these patterns!

Looks like a cobra body, can't tell what the tail looks like, but there are a lot of pictures you can compare with on google , do a search like (mosaic guppies)then change to images, you will be shocked of all the kinds of guppies out there lol.

Thanks Ernie. I had a hard time getting good pics, as you can tell.

The male in the pic, which I believe is the father, has an orange tail that initially looks solid but when it is fully splayed you can see there are faint blue dots at the base and that fine white line down the bottom (slightly visible in the pic). The younger/smaller male that is very similar has more pronounced dots on his tail, much more like the leopard spots.

Those boys are so pretty Ernie! It's funny how the boys chase each other around in the absence of females... ;)
