I purchased a 55 gal tank for a very fast growing Red Belly Pacu that has since died. ( 14 inches long, 7 inches tall 2 1/2 in wide 13lbs at death ) I am now trying to fill the tank out with fast reproducing Platys. I just got married and wife said I needed a hobby so that I dont get on her nerves, and this one seems kind of interesting. I have been on forums for about a month now and I am learning sooo much and spending even more. ( Wait till wifey sees the credit card bills, that will teach her ) So everyone keep up the good work and be easy on me as I am a true newbie.

I just wanted to stop by and say hello to everyone.

Thanks
Rekles75:hehe:

Welcome to the box.
What kind of fish are you going to put in the tank?
When you get a chance post up some pictures of your tank.
If wifey isn't going to like the C/C bill, wait until you bring home 2-3 more tanks.
Most if not all people here have MTS(multiple tank syndrome).
Look around, enjoy your stay, and feel free to ask any questions you need to.

Hey Rekles, welcome to the box. I have a 55g platy tank, and it's awesome. There is lots of color, lots of movement, and lots of success. You're going to love them!

Welcome Rekles! Nice to have someone here from good old Georgia! Of course, all I know about Georgia is the pretty land, good peaches, and the airport, lol! I am glad we have helped you already, but now that you have made yourself known you can ask questions and have a few laughs too!

SI... welcome!!! You will enjoy the hobby that much more by asking questions and sharing your own experiences with us and others!!! AHHHHH the best way to bait the wife into understadning MTS... get her a tank of her own... then you compete and MTS is just a by product!!!

hehehehhehehe :p

your poor wife doesn't know what she's gotten herself into!!! the "Hobby" gets on my nerves......(:confuzeld:something about fears of all the 6 tanks we have busting and 1000's of gallons of water EVERYWHERE ALL AT ONCE :wha:that kinda gets to me....), oh...and the :spend:my husband spends on them....*Sigh*...but they are pretty...
