General Freshwater Sand Question?

Ok I really want to change from gravel to sand but I have no idea how to keep it clean. I know you can't vaccum like you would the gravel so how do I do it?:confused:

I just vacuum the sand by hoovering right above it. The poop gets sucked into the python and not the sand. But, if you get too close you will suck up sand.

+1 I use PFS and the waste just sits on top. I vaccum it right out.
