This little guy (right bottom) is missing his little wiskers :( It's like his nose is gone...He really seems to be running around like normal and has been this way for a while so I assume he is eating well. Any idea what might have caused it? :confuzeld: He has a snub nose. lol. I am hoping that he will make a full recovery one day.

A quick Google search shows that the substrate may damage their whiskers. It's recommended not to use anything sharp that they might rummage through. One site said to use fine gravel. I have three cories in my 135 that has rounded pebbles as the substrate and no signs of wear. Two cories reside in the 20 with crushed coral substrate and no problems there either.

Another site said it could be from bacteria, but I'd think you'd have other problems if the bacteria was high enough to start eating away at the fish.

oh no. I could move them to another tank if it will be a problem. I want to say he was like this before I moved him into this tank but not sure. The others seem to be fine. Should I move them?

If you move one, gotta move them all. Cories are shoaling fish and do best in groups. Moving the one may stress him out and do more harm than good.

I have about 12 in my 100 gallon....and they stay withontheir color....its funny to see!
