Stan made a very good point on his "free stand if you donate" thread....I have gotten so much off of the box for free or for well below retail and I'm ashamed I didn't donate my $20 towards the club's operating cost until today. I'll drive across town (with gas @ $3.75 per gallon) to snag a $3 fish thru the box but I hadn't paid to support the box that brings me these good deals. Mainly, I have met so many great folks on here so I paid today. Thanks, Stan, for waking me up to my selfishness. If you haven't made your donation, I urge you to do so...i know how tight money is, believe me I do, but I'd be lost without my dfwfishbox "fix"....take care

it needs to be advertised more i was amember for about 2 weeks before I knew about the donations when i found out i made one and will continue to try and make one once a month it is definetly worth it for all the knowledge that one can aquire here

There is a link at the top of the screen that says "Donate".

It is a tricky slope as to how much we really want to push the donation thing, unlike MOST other sites, this site is not a profit center. We are not here to make money so as long as the bills are paid we tend not to worry much about money.

I would like to think if nothing else that sets us aside from the other options out there. The forum itself will always be banner ad free, and free to post. We are always looking for new perks for supporters.
