So I have a Newly set up Discus tank, and i'm starting to think about my next tank. Hopefully between 300-400g. It's still a couple of years away, which gives me time to price everything and do my research. I'm going to keep Discus, but i'm trying to decide between stingrays or Arowana. Any thoughts/advice or articles I should read between now and then?
Thanks!
Also who would be the best place to purchase such a large tank from?

You are best custom ordering a tank like this.
There are a number of options... Tenecor, Midwest, etc... get price quotes. Play them all against each other.

I was not aware that they were illegal in TX. I could have sworn DNA had a pair in the showroom a couple of years ago. Well I guess I will have to do more research. And decide if I wanna go salt or not.

The freshwater stingrays that you see aren't really freshwater, they are Atlantic Stingrays that have found their ways into St. John River in FL. They are not true freshwater, they produce an extreme amount of Ammonia and will cause you a headache the whole time.

also I'm torn between starting a discus tank or a planted tank. I'm don't like the look of a bare tank, but I see that maybe this is a norm for keeping discus. thoughts?

They are Atlantic Rays caught in the St. John river...
Many people keep Discus in planted tanks.
