canister filter making buzzing noise

Our canisters have never buzzed.
I'd take it apart to find the source...it might just need a little cleaning. Try finding the company website...they might have a troubleshooting table for you to look at.

make sure you check the impeller really good... if one of the plastic ends is not secure in place... like glued.... then it will cause it to be off line just enough to have the blades scrap and bump all over the place...

What brand filter is making the noise?

I know my XPs make noise if they get air trapped in them. I tip them over onto their edge (not all the way over) to get the air bubbles out and problem's fixed.

You might try that.

Joey, have you even LOOKED at your other canister to see what's wrong with it? Seems kinda wasteful, to just chuck it because it's making some noise. You've got one canister working right? Well, spend a little time and maybe a FEW dollars and get the other one working. That won't cut into your ski funds....
