Trying my hand in the kitchen

Well, I was doing some research about diy fish food to see if there were some other options. Anyway, this is what I decided to try. I got this bag of premixed seafood for about $4. It comes with shrimp, squid, clam, mussles, and probably some other "seafood". (it wasn't easy to find....I had to search several stores and even tried some oriental markets. finally found it at a Fiesta) Got the seaweed at walyworld for about $3. I used some of the stuff I had laying around the house and busted out the magic bullet. I ended up with 5 ziplocs. I figure that should last me a few months. And....the fish actually seem to like it. I tried to get my oldest boy to do some fear factor, but he didn't seem to want to try it? :)

I'm impressed! I've been wanting to make some for a long time but I'm lazy.:(

Last batch I did smelled like a chip dip... I never use all of it... get through 2-5 bags and it starts to freezer burn.

I am going to try making beefheart for my discus. I am sure I will make a huge mess, lol.
