They are extremely outgoing and friendly, but somewhat finicky with regards to what they like to eat. Love mysis shrimp and brine....not fans of flake and sinking pellet bits.

Inhabitants:
11 R. xinguensis
2 NG Rainbows
2 SAE
3 Botia sidthimunki
1 Schistura sp 'Sumo Loach'

That is a very nice, very natural-looking tank. I love the way the wood and plants really make that tank! I bet you are really proud of it! Thanks for posting the photos!

They lay on the ground until they see movement and then they are your typical cichlid. Similar to the goby cichlids from Tanganyika except that these aren't as clumsy in the midwater.

Its a 180-I had a guy in Rhome build it for me named David Thorson. I saw a DAS setup and had him build a similar piece using wood to match my office furniture. (its in my home office).

So how are these guys doing for you so far? Is it incredibly as hard to keep as researched?

No, not so far. They are doing very well, but are difficult to feed. They really like shrimp, but that wont fatten them up as the protein goes right through them. They will not eat prepared foods. Im going to try and make the Konings Shrimp mix in Enjoying Cichlids this weekend. My wife will be so happy.
