Everything I've read and have been told says that Rams are good in a smaller tank, like the 20g long I had them in. I disagree...now.

I moved George and Gracie (two were already in there) and the two juveniles to the 100g last night. The difference is like night and day! They've been tootin all over the tank, having a splendid time checking out Sticky, chasing Neons and sparring. The babies are trying to swim with the Neons, probably because they're close in size but the Neons swim away rather quickly, lol
In the 20g the G and G were always hiding and would never come to the front. It was a bit miffed at the whole thing because everyone says they're such personable little guys. The babies have always been out front but I've been peeking at them since they were the size of a toothpick tip, lol.
Anyway, this weekend I plan on getting more females if we can find them, the Emerald Corys, more Neons, the Cherry Shrimp and the Neon Dwarf Gouramis and more plants. I also hope to find a female ABN while we're out and maybe get some large river rock.
That's all exciting but I'm thrilled that the Rams seem to be coming out of their shells finally...my day already couldn't be any better.

This is the reason I have large tanks. The fishies have more room to really show their personalities. Great story!

Sweet! SOunds good. I imagine even though they CAN go in a smaller tank...who wouldn't enjoy a bigger home? That's gotta be real exciting to see the change in them and of course watching the little guys grow
