I think I have MTSADD and am not really pleased with 6 feet of plants dirt angels, cories and small tetras. So I'm still looking for the right sz tank to go on my spring TCA auction stand and canopy and want to migrate everything into that tank. Then I am interested in doing like maybe some SA cichlids or CA cichlids or maybe even sum strange fish from wherever(like bichirs or something kinda bizarre like that) in my 125g. I am interested in your opinions on the matter and would love some suggestions. Been doing a tiny bit of surfing on the matter and love Honduran Red Points and even still love like Firemouths etc. Joe of course says FESTAEEEEEE!!! What say you??? Oh and have africans elsewhere and they are played out anyway.

I share your thoughts I have a 125g and when I get the chance to switch I am going to a tank of Firemouths, Salvini, Green Texas Cichlids and Jack Dempseys. I would love the Festae play but in time it would destroy it's tank mates in a 125g. Good luck on your quest to find a tank set up you like.

Look into Dwarf Cichlids (http://www.dwarfcichlid.com). You will have fun fish that will be more plant friendly compared to the larger Cichlids that will be weed-eaters.

Well R the plants are going with the fish to a new home soon hopefully. and i will even remove and transplant substrate. I have aleady had rams and I like apistos but you have no idea how odd it would look to have 3 dozen apistos in one tank...or disfunctional lol. I need something with more substance in there than the current inhabitants. thanks tho.
And BC that is so close to what I have been leaning towards. I saw the honduran red points and love those fellas but i also love firemouths, severums, devils and such. I need something thought and the time is near!

How about green/red terrors, firemouths, blue acara(maybe) Red points and either geo or salvini

I actually thought about it. maybe not so much eels as they r the ultimate escape artists but soemthing along those lines. Just not sure what i'd b able to keep with em that isnt currently being done

Discus. That would add plenty of substance. The king fish of the tank.

Very true. I found my snowflake on the ground, and he was still alive. I don't know how long he was on the carpet, but he was dry! I put him back in the tank, and he is still doing great. Although, for both of my tanks that house eels I have made the canopies nearly escape proof. I think it was worth it, because I enjoy watching my eels come out when they see me.

From my experince the Geo are very passive and usually get bullied around a bit by the Terrors, and the Salvini's are aggressive. But I like what you are thinking. If you execute I want pics please.

I think I am leaning more towards the semi aggressive side but am still undecided. Still value your inputs. Speak now or forever hold yer peas
