so i had this 50 gallon acrylic tank in the garage... and my boa, quincy, is only getting bigger. i turned the aquarium into a terrarium for it. took me about a week, i used a high speed router, a glass cutting drill bit, and an extra sheet of 1/4" thick acrylic. what do you guys think about my handy work?

I think it's great as long as it's secure! Joking aside, looks like it has lots of levels for the snake to explore and it does look like you did a good job. Kudos!

thanks, i made sure that it's escape proof. i don't think you can see them very well, but there are 3 locks on the door.

i got the driftwood at petorama... it was used in a display that they used to have and was in the back room covered in spider webs. i put some bleach and water in a spray bottle and squirted the hell out of it in the bathtub. after that i hosed it down real good-like and then let it dry.

Pretty nice!
The only thing I wonder is, why didnt' you look for a non-water holding tank (free to little $) and sell the good aquarium, or set it up as a new fish tank?
Looks like really nice work, but darn shame to cut up a good aquarium when there are so many cracked or leaky tanks out there perfect for something like this. Just my $0.02 :D

it had been sitting in a friend's garage for years so i wasn't sure if it could hold water anyway. i bought it as a project tank and that's exactly how it ended up.
