I am on dfw Fishbox because of my boyfriend, he's hooked! I figured why not, I might learn a little something. I am not an enthusiast by any means I only have a small bookshelf aquarium but that's all I have room for. So HELLO!

Oh yeah and fish, right now I only have 1 Guppy and 1 Otto. I had other Guppys but didn't like them so my boyfriend took them and put them in his tank and I'm going to get Glo Fish.

:spend:i started w/just a plecostamous ...he got over a foot long and i traded and now i have a fancy silver goldfish, 5-6 big silver dollars, 2 convicts, a guppy, a bunch of tiger barb/tinfoil thingees, 3 dojo weather loaches, bunch a molly fry babies and couple a parents and couple a white molly/platy things and etc and 3 apple mystery snails and 3 marino lake moss balls, plants....it gets addicting very quickly~JJ

Hi Erin and welcome! I will warn you that the more you learn about the different types of fish, the more tanks you will end up with because you will want them all. MTS (Multiple Tank Syndrome) is highly contagious and there's no cure.

My hubby didn't really care for the hobby until I got my 135 gallon setup. I had a previous setup with very large fish that would splash water all over and that left him with a bad impression. I put livebearers (mollies, swords, and platies) in the 135 and he's had a blast watching them grow up. He got me a 180 for Christmas and he's read up on cichlids and now wants to stock the 180 with them so he can see mouthbrooders.

It's a cool hobby. Enjoy!
