Here in South Grand Prairie it is 6.4, what is your rainwater ph?

Water gathered from puddle outside front door

6.0pH, 0KH, 0GH here in Bedford. It is basically the same as RO water lol.

The lower ph seems to be in the more highly populated areas. Acid rain?

Yes. Rainwater is naturally slightly acidic because of the CO2 it picks up as it falls through the atmosphere. Back in the 80s rain in Dallas was much more acidic than it is now because of all the regulations designed to improve air quality that have gone into effect. I can remember pH tests of rainwater showing lower than 5.

Here in east Dallas near White Rock Lake, it is 6.8. That is pretty normal. I waited for the rain to wash my roof before I started collecting.
