:o Hello everyone.. glad to have found a local forum. I have 2 fish tanks, 55 and a 29 gal. with freshwater tropical fish. Fancy guppies, lyre tail black and silver spotted mollies, fancy platys, 2 plecos and 2 red tail sharks. The 55 gal. is used for the older fish and the 29 gal. is used to put the babies in. I like saving the babies to watch them grow, especially the guppies. Well that was a little bit about me. I look forward to using the forum and site.

Hi Micki! I've got a bunch of mollies as well and it is fun watching them go from eyeballs to full fledged fishies. Glad you found us and yes, post pics!

Welcome to the site!

I too have kept guppies in the past and I think it's really interesting to see the differences in the livebares and the egg layers.

Thanks again everyone for being so friendly. I have had fish off and on ever since I was a kid. I really love them. Always thought I was kinda different, cause I like saving the fry of livebearers, I just cant bear for any of them to never have a chance at life.
I like mixing the colors of the same species and see what kind of fry you get. Its interesting. The baby mollies I have came from the black marbled lyretail mollie and she had been with one of the gold lyretail mollies. Her babies came out mostly silver with black specks and I have noticed a few have a gold spot here and there on their bodies and some have a pale yellowish tint to their silver. They are only about 2 months old now and should get more colors and/or black spots later. They are all really cute and growing like weeds, I have about 25 of those that are now in the big tank.
Well thats a little bit about me. Thanks again ya'll and I really like this forum, glad I found ya.
