I am looking for Platic / PVC coated Wire Grid. Like the kind you would find on modular closet shelves and perhaps bird cages...... would like to buy it by the sheet to make tank dividers for some 55g's and my 180g. Does any one know where I can pick some up locally?

How big of holes are you looking for?

1/4 x 1/4 or 1/2 x 1/2 just as long as it is sturdy enough to seperate big fish

Have you looked at Ikea or Costco?

At one point I had a bunch with 3/4" squares at Sams about 1'X1'....

What about something like this? The holes are a bit small... but I bet you could drill em out a bit. I'm also sure it would relatively easy to cut to fit.

Oh yeah, they are located in Coppell.

I have gabion wire but it is generally 3x3 or 1.5 x 1.5. It is welded wire, probably 10gauge and pvc coated.

Lowes and Home Depot have pvc covered wire mesh with 1/4" x 1/4" holes. I used it to build doors on our rat cage.

If I remember correctly it was 24" wide by 60" long for $20. But they had larger rolls of it too.

why not just use egg crate (light diffuser)

its plastic so when you cut it to fit, there will not be expose metals to rust...

Actually Ace Hardware will carry it from time to time....

There is a plastic place down at 35 and Walnut Hill that had a pallet of it for another customer last time I was in there.... I never really thought about it at the time but that would look better in a tank then white would.

the 4x8 white cost about $10.

that seems a little inflated for the same thing but black.

yeah, it is kind of high, but the chrome and white would look crappy in my tank and the only other place I could find black was online and having it shipped would have been about 30 dollars

i wouldnt put anything painted in my tank, by the time i bought paint and sprayed it and put it in my tank and the freaked for a couple of days wondering if the paint would kill my fish........ 25 bucks is easy and gives me piece of mind.
