I have been thinking of adding some frozen foods to my feeding rotation. Right now I switch between TetraMin flake (will probably switch to Omega One soon) and freeze dried brine shrimp, tubiflex worms, and bloodworms. I also throw some shrimp pellets and vegetables in every now and then. What would be a good frozen food to use on occassion? Beefheart? Brine shrimp?

Depends on the fish, but I would say blood worms and brine shrimp.

I feed my discus with home made frozen beef heart, sometimes frozen blood worm and frozen brine shrimp.

I personally use a lot of frozen brine. But this brings up one thing I am going to look into. I would like to have a source of frozen mesquitoe larva. I've used them before and they are great.
My fish love Hakari frozen bloodworms and I go through a package a week. Not only do the fish really love them, but I think the fish look more colorful and robust when eating frozen foods several times a week. I have a tank of cardinals and another tank of neons and they're both super thick and have tremendous color. The cardinals are over two years old without a loss one, and the neons are over a year old without a loss. I really think their diet has a lot to do with their health. Frozen foods add variety and fill in the nutritional gaps in the base flake/dry diet. And they are fun to feed because you can tell the fish just REALLY like them. Even my oscar will eat frozen bloodworms and frozen brine shrimp, which is really funny to see a 12" adult oscar chasing down tiny bits of food like that. :)
