We just found these in our 100g community tank today. There are easily over 100 of them, you just can't tell from the picture. Mom and Dad are being extremely protective. Pretty much all of the fish are staying to the sides or the top of the tank. The Kribs have taken over the entire middle section and anywhere else they feel like going.

What kind of Kribs are these? If they are Nigerian Reds, I would love to have some of the fry!!

Congrats ! Kirbs have always been special since they are my father's favorite fish...

I think they are just the regular Pelvicachromis pulcher, but they have always had great coloring. In this picture, the female isn't really showing any of the color she normally does. The one you see in the picture with all the red is the male. He has only shown that deep red for about the last week. The entire lower half of his body is that color.

The female is usually red, pink, orange white and yellow.

Here are some updated pictures. They are getting big fast. They are now to big for my small Harlequin tetras to eat. The SAE's seem to always be stalking them, bit I have yet to see a hit. My Rams seem to pretty much ignroe all the fry. I would say there are still about 30-50 left, but they are spread all around the tank now. mom and dad can no longer keep track of them all.
