Hi my names Jason,
I was wondering if the seasoned or knowledgeable breeders could look at this link and see if this bit of info would lean towards more correct than not?
http://www.bettatalk.com/selecting_stock.htm
please say or comment on anything
Also I read of betta meets or something like that is this a way to see non petstore breeds and color variations, halfmoons ect? If so how does one sign up or find out when to go ect?
thanks everyone

why do you want to breed Betta? i tried to but was unsuccessful. my female died. I would suggest having a heavily planted setup. and watching the 24/7. i gave up on breeding them.

this guy kinda knows his stuff. yea that is what i would do too. actually that is what im doing now. i have two pairs of thailand imports that are actually taking care of their babies right now. they hatched yesterday. the females have been seperated but the males are doing their jobs. petstore bettas are really not what you want to use to breed. i've done this myself and i came up with a crapload of different colors and gill mutated frys. although you can try it out, i would say its a big waste of money. get yourself some good ones from thailand and spend the extra bucks. i am not lying to you. one thing though, i dont think you have to buy two pairs of the same breed like that guy says on the website. its easy to breed bettas, and extremely rewarding. i've done it too many times. if you need any info just ask me i'll help you. or if you need any almond leaves, i can sell some to you.
