Question on food for fish

Okay my question is what is the best food to feed your african cichilds I have some peacocks and I want them to get pretty nice color so what would be the best food to give them can some one help me with this thanks..

Lol talk about opening a can of worms. I use New Life Spectrum and have had good results with all my fish. I'm sure a doz more will weigh in all with a different food.

New Life Spectrum is going to be one of the best foods out there. If i were you i would go with NLS: Cichlid Formula.

There are plenty, a lot of people are using nls.. there is also dainichi, omega one, ken's food, etc..

just look at the ingedience an make sure if it not high in flour or other junk. the cichlids are not picky and will eat just about anything. what kind of african cichlids do you have?

i have fed kens and dainichi in the past and i am currently feeding NLS.

I have some sunshine, electric blue hap, alli, Ob Peacocks some dolphins and a few others... I have two tanks set with some different fishes in them ... one of my tanks I bought a whole bunch of fish from ricky a friend from this forum.. I am still looking for some other fish later on for my 3rd fish tank which is another 150 gallon I am getting that tank next month or so..

Good call. I like to feed my fish as much of a variety of good foods as i can. Personally, i think that's about as good of a thing as you can do for them.

Also Casper you might want to try Metro fish food. They support the Club and have amazing prices on their good food. Also they have many different size foods and all that Jazz. May want to look into it.

I believe in a nice mix, so I buy a variety of Ken's flakes, crumbles, some NLS, and occasionally some Dainichi. I must admit, they colored up best when I was feeding just Dainichi.
