Glad you've come over to take a look, if not move over outright.

[IMO] I hate the idea of someone telling me what I can and can't say. Especially someone that doesn't have the local market in their best interest. This site is owned and moderated by locals- for locals.

No cutting out LFS because of personal grievances, no deleting threads because we don't like the words being spoken.

We can't do worse- we can only do better- AND we live here and want to represent our market.

So we've taken the advice and left- to create something better- the OLD SKOOL!!

We still believe in being reasonable adults, discussing, selling and buying- we'll even let you disagree :eek:- but plan on going to a "special place" if it gets ugly.

We have many years of experience in moderating AND fishkeeping between us. So pull up a chair and enjoy your stay.

Back later to tell you about my neat new loaches! and back to buy some stuff and I need to sell 2 or 3 of the tanks I just bought because the new one I bought just yesterday, well, it is the biggest, so it is the keeper. 55 gallon. The more fish the merrier! LOL! And I sold that 3rd tank last month, just to get it back again this month. Guess I will just resign myself to being a "three tank girl". Well, AND 2-10's and probably will keep the 30, just in case. I have no tanks in the bedroom yet! LOL!

The family just doesn't understand! I have figured out I just have to buy a house sooner than later so I can get the big tank(s). :drool2:

I think he's new to forums and just learning- seems a typical MO for those types.

Frankly, when dallasfishbox FIRST threatened to pull the plug on the site a LONG time ago- it hit my radar that "hey, this guy isn't from here and doesn't care about the Dallas market"- we need to do something to get control of our market...what if he does pull the plug?...we're all splintered and gone. So when he started the "if you don't like it- move"- we did just that.

I love this place- it's young and growing- but the work that has gone into it has been amazing- the work horses (Skipp and Andrew) are awesome!! This is a much better home!!

Yeah, we're all glad to beeeee free to hate hippies or disagree or pretty much whatever we want (within reason).

Some people get it in their heads they have to control every little thing and just take it way too far. Skipp is technically the owner, but Chris and I are helping him as much as possible. There are three guys "running the show" so to speak and we've developed a good checks and balances for each other. I think we all pretty much agree and disagree about the same things (and we all are or have ran other forums), so this should be a much more pleasant experience for all.

The reason I'm here, same as everyone else... freedom.

The thought of the other places plug being pulled always made me worry. The community was growing and I dreaded the idea of him following thru on his word to pull the plug over a disagreement. The fall out would have been a drag.

No one likes to argue- but it happens. It's all in how you handle it.

So, to me, this place was a must. It's a shame some see it as a one ups, or a copycat site- they don't get it.
