Hmmm.....Yeaqh second one has a chance of being african. If the colors of the blurry photo are accurate.........I would say Metriaclima lombardoi aka Kenyi :confuzeld:
There are a few fish that it could be. Where did you get them?

I got him from some guy that was getting rid of his tank, and the same with one of the convicts and the babies the other convict was sitting at Petco in the adoption tank for about a month. Here is a better picture but his color has changed.

So that is who tried to kill my Oscar!!!

The convicts will attack anything when they have fry. Try putting your hand in the tank near them and they'll bite you with their tiny teeth. They also could have attacked the Oscar.

the fry are in my nursery tank not with the mom and the second convict is new, but whoever done it he is now back to a ten gallon to heal.

Oscar?
How big is your tank? Sounds like a crazy mix O' fish.........:wha:

It is, its a 55 but my Oscar is only about 4 inches long right now, and missing about half of his tail, so he is in a 10 gallon to heal for a little bit, there is also an albino channel cat and various tetras, and 2 plecos at 13 & 5 inches long, in the 55. The Oscar is the only one that got picked on, so will probably have to get him his own tank shortly.

not to be rude but you got a big mix up of fish. i wouldn't put tetras with cichlids. i want to say the second is a acei but not sure.

Oscars can grow up to an inch per month! He will need at least a 55 to himself.....
I would love to have an Oscar! Very cool fish!

As long as they are bigger then the Cichlids mouth a Tetra can hang....

the tetras are actually almost as big as the cichlids and the oscar for now are are doing fine in with the cichlids not even a fin nip, but my husband is taking the Kenyi to work to put in there 55 with a jack dempsey and a little white cichlid, then my oscar will go back in the 55 and the convicts will be moving to a smaller tank for a little bit until we get a new tank. And i think he is very cool he is an albino tiger oscar....here is a pic....
